34 Weeks

I hit 34 weeks today! It is a little scary to think that at this point Ryan's mom was going into labor with him, but thankfully everything turned out OK in that situation. Ryan was a lucky little premie that didn't suffer from the common breathing problems or other complications that come from being born too early. He was just a tiny little thing weighing just under 5 pounds. On the other hand I can't help but be a little jealous of Ryan's parents. They didn't have to wait the full 40 weeks to see their baby boy! I am so excited and anxious to get our baby girl here! I know I have 6 weeks left (possibly more!) to wait it out, but it feels so close it's killing me! This Saturday, Feb. 11th, I will be having my first baby shower. I am so excited for it! I can't wait to be around all my friends to celebrate this tiny gift that is coming into my life. The showers are nice little check points that help make the time go faster. It's all about finding ways to keep myself occupied so I don't go crazy waiting this out. Doctors appointments are also helpful, although they are pretty uneventful :) But that is a good thing! That means everything is going well and there are no complications. I know it will be here before I know it and I know this is still giving me time to get everything I need to done. I just can't wait. I hope my precious baby girl knows how much her mommy and daddy love her already and how excited we are to meet her in just a few short weeks. By the way, did I mention I was excited!?!?! :)
